這集片名來自電影《富貴逼人》。
斯坦利．克雷默執導，聯美公司製作的本片，講述的是一個反映人性陰暗面的生活劇。史馬爾考文超車墜崖身亡，在臨死前透露在聖塔羅西公園埋着一大筆錢。知道這個消息的有八個人，各種不同的身份、不同的背景、不同的職業，爲了獨得這份意外之財，分別展開了可笑、驚險、瘋狂的爭奪。誰知他們所爭奪的是15前被搶劫的贓款，他們所作的一切都在警方的掌握之中。寶藏終於被挖出，克勞派隊長因爲退休在即，而退休金又少得可憐，所以便假公濟私，奪款潛逃，但最終被警方抓獲，使發財夢想成爲泡影。本片以嬉笑怒罵的方式，將人性的醜陋形態一表無遺，將人物角色刻劃得入木三分，雖聞笑聲，但卻可見編導的良苦用心。It's said that we're all strapped to fortune's wheel.
