Many auto dealers in China are exaggerating the problems of vehicles that come in for repair in order to make more profit, according to a report by China Central Television in its annual 3/15 Gala program.
據央視315晚會曝光，中國許多汽車經銷商會誇大前來維修汽車的問題以謀取暴利。

【講解】

auto dealers是汽車經銷商；make profit是獲利。
據調查，誇大點火線圈（induction coil of the ignition system）的問題，讓顧客更換點火系統（ignition system）中的各種零件（components），這種小病大修的比例達到73%。
在北京、天津、上海和杭州等地的東風日產乘用車公司（Dongfeng Nissan Passenger Vehicle Co）、上海大衆（Shanghai Volkswagen）以及梅賽德斯-奔馳（Mercedes-Benz）運營的汽車經銷店（car dealerships），只需將點火線圈插頭插（plug in）實便可解決問題，卻讓顧客花費了數千元進行維修。
中國消費者協會（China Consumers' Association）在週日公佈的報告中表示，2014年全國消協組織受理汽車產品投訴情況。在衆多車企中，上海大衆的投訴量最多（the most consumer complaints），爲863件。
同時，路虎中國（Land Rover China）因多位消費者投訴變速箱問題（gearbox problems）會導致車輛突然停止（suddenly stopping）或倒檔失靈（problems engaging the reverse gear）成爲焦點（under the spotlight）。
315晚會（3/15 Gala program）由中央電視臺和國家質量監督檢驗檢疫總局（General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine）、國家工商行政管理總局（State Administration for Industry and Commerce）等部門聯合主辦，揭露商業不當行爲（business misconduct），保護消費者權益（defend consumers' rights），自1991年開始每年在3月15日國際消費者權益日（World Consumer Rights Day）播出。
