【地道短語】turn a deaf ear
【解詞釋義】該習語來源於《聖經》。據說在東方國家，毒蛇若是進入屋內，主人就要請耍毒蛇的人來引誘它入袋，耍蛇人口唸咒語，蛇爲了不聽咒語，將一隻耳朵貼於地上，用尾巴塞住第二隻耳朵。故英語中有“像毒蛇一樣聾（as deaf as an adder）”一說法。據此，該習語比喻“充耳不聞”“置若罔聞”，也就是“不加理睬”“裝聾賣傻”的意思。
