Getting dressed up to go to a Lady Gaga concert is appropriate and fun. But actually dressing up as Lady Gaga to see Lady Gaga seems like an overkill.
打扮得漂漂亮亮去聽Lady Gaga演唱會是很得體也很歡樂的事。可是打扮成Lady Gaga的樣子去見Lady Gaga好像太過了。
Wearing a few rings is alright. But wearing rings on every finger is a complete overkill.
戴幾個戒指很正常。但每個手指上都戴戒指，那簡直太過了。
