臺灣飛機墜落,可能已致數十人死亡

(CNN) -- A twin-engine turboprop planecrashed Wednesday while attempting to land in inclement weather in Taiwan's PenghuIslands, according to Taiwan'sCentral News Agency. The number of fatalities was unclear.

（美國有線電視新聞網）——據臺灣中央通訊社報道，週三，澎湖列島一輛雙引擎渦輪螺旋槳飛機在惡劣天氣中試圖着陸時墜毀。尚不明確災難造成的死亡人數。

CNN affiliate ETTV reported that the planecrashed into a residential building.

The central weather bureau reportedlightning storms at the time and winds between 40 and 45 mph, the news agencysaid.

The number of fatalities was unclear thoughofficials are fearful that dozens have died. Taiwan's Transportation MinisterYeh Kuang-shih told reporters there were no casualties on the ground.

Injured passengers have been rushed to Penghu Hospital,and TransAsia Airways has established an emergency response center, accordingto a statement issued by the airline.

The president of TransAsia Airways, ChooiYee-choong, appeared briefly at a news conference and bowed in front of newscameras. He choked up as he expressed his sorrow to passengers' families andthe public. "I sincerely apologize," he said.

復興航空總經理徐以聰短暫地出現在新聞發佈會上，對着攝像機鞠躬致歉。在向乘客家屬和公衆表達悲痛時，他哽咽了。他說，“我真誠地致以歉意”。

"TransAsia Airways is exhausting allmeans to assist passengers, victims and families" and working withinvestigators, its statement read.

復興航空在聲明中寫道,“復興航空將竭盡所能協助乘客、遇難者及其家屬”並配合調查員展開工作。

One of the plane's black box data recorderswas recovered, and investigators will examine the crash site Thursday, theminister said.

交通部長說，飛機的一個黑匣子已經被找到，調查人員將於週四對失事地點展開調查。
