1. 解詞釋義
Level這個詞語有幾個意思，在這裏可以理解爲“水平面”，因此，on the level就可以說是“在說平面上”，即可以清清楚楚看見的。如果我們說一個人on the level，那意思就是說這個人很直率，坦誠，誠實，沒有騙人你可以相信他的話。對話中“I expect you to be on the level with me.”的意思就是“我希望你能坦誠對我。”
