make one's point 言之成理
【講解】
point本義爲“事項的點、條、項”，又可以專指 “要點”，由此又引申爲“觀點,想法,論據,道理”。例如:You，ve got apoint there.(你言之有理。）There’s no point in wasting time.（沒道理浪費時間。）本習語中的point就是“道理”之意。
【對話】
A:Why did you play truant today? I've told you several times that studying is the most important thing in your life now.
A:今天你爲什麼逃學？我已經跟你說過多少次了，現在在你的生活中學習是最重要的事。
B:You made your point in this matter, but I have my reason, too.
B:在這件事上你說得固然有理，但是我也有我的理由。
