職場英語日記 第23期:跟上安娜的腳步

I met Anna for a jog aroung the lake tonight. She was really excited because she met a really hot guy on Saturday night and he called her today to ask her out. As she was talking, I racked my brain but I could not remember him at all.

今晚我和安娜約在湖邊慢跑，她好興奮，因爲她星期六晚上認識了一個很熱情的傢伙，今天打電話約她出去了。她一邊講我一邊用力回想，但任憑我絞盡腦汁還是一點印象都沒有。

She said he was watching her all night and then they dance a few songs just before we left. Then she told me that ghe was wearing a black leather jacket and I figured it out. He was the guy that wouldn't move out of my way when I was trying to get to the ladied room. I remembered thinking he was a jerk.

她說他整晚都看着她，我們離開前他們還跳了幾支舞。她跟我說他穿着一件黑皮夾克時，我想起來了，就是那個我想去洗手間時不肯讓路的人。記得那時我還暗想，那傢伙真是個笨蛋。

Anyway, I didn't say anything to Anna because she was so happy and I know I can be a bit too judgmental sometimes. She gushed about him for the whole 5K.

不過我什麼都沒提啦，她那麼開心，而且我知道自己對人有時挺主觀的。她滔滔不絕地講這傢伙的事講了整整5公里。

It was a great run and the time flew because of our conversation, but I caught myself feeling a little jealous. I don't want to be selfish, but it occurred to me that if Anna gets a boyfriend I won't have any single friends left.

跑得開心時間自然也過得很快，不過我倒發現自己有點嫉妒。不是我自私，只是我一想到如果連安娜都交了男朋友，那我就連半個單身朋友也沒有了
