    Roy Trenton used to drive a taxi. A short while ago, however, he became a busdriver and he was not regretted it. He is finding his new work far more he was driving along Catford Street recently, he saw two thieves rush out of a shop and run towards a waiting car. One of them was carrying a bag full of money. Roy acted quickly and drove the bus straight at the thieves. The one with the money got such a fright that he dropped the bag. As the thieves were trying to get away in their car, Roy drove his bus into the back of it. While the battered car was moving away, Roy stopped his bus and telephoned the police. The thieves' car was badly damaged and easy to recognize. Shortly afterwards, the police stopped the car and both men were arrested.

   羅伊.特雷頓原是開出租汽車的, 然而就在前不久, 他開上了公共汽車, 也並不爲此而感到後悔. 他發覺自己的新工作令人興奮得多. 最近, 當他正開車在凱特福德街上行駛時, 看到有兩個小偷從一家商店裏衝出來, 奔向等在那裏的一輛汽車, 其中一個提着一隻裝滿鈔票的提包. 羅伊行動迅速, 開車直衝竊賊而去. 拿錢的那個小偷嚇得把提包都扔了. 當那兩個小偷企圖乘車逃跑時, 羅伊駕駛他的公共汽車撞在了那輛車的後尾上. 當那輛被撞壞的車開走後, 羅伊停下車, 給警察掛了電話. 小偷的車損壞嚴重, 很容易辨認. 沒過多久, 警察就截住了那輛車, 兩個小偷都被抓住了.

第三部分 LANGUAGE POINTS

1、He is finding his new work far more exciting.
far more exciting:far爲程度副詞，修飾後面的比較級，表示“大大地...，遠遠地...”
far adv 非常
比較級前可以加修飾詞, 表示程度，多一點點用a little, 多很多用much
far＝much, 修飾形容詞或副詞的比較級, 注意most 是修飾形容詞或副詞的, 而不是比較級

2、He saw two thieves rush out of a shop and run towards a waiting car.
see sb. do sth.:看見某人做某事（see後的v.爲不帶to的不定式，這個v.一般爲快速/瞬間性動作的詞,如run，rush）
see sb. doing sth.：see後爲現在分詞短語，表示當時正在進行中的某個持續性動作或狀態
區別：
see sb do sth看見某人做某事(強調全過程) / see sb doing 看見某人正在做某事
如果全過程用do, 過程中的一瞬間用doing
另外還有類似的詞有 : smell, feel, hear, watch, notice等

3、Roy acted quickly and drove the bus straight at the thieves.
act:行動
take action 採取行動
act! (口語) 行動!
at：衝着...，對着...

4、The one with the money got such a fright that he dropped the bag.
the one:代詞，指thief
.../... 如此...以致於
so+形容詞(副詞)+that.../such+(修飾詞或形容詞)+名詞+that
=The one with the money got so frightened that he dropped the bag.（so後跟adj.）
got a fright：大吃一驚

5、As the thieves were trying to get away in their car, Roy drove his bus into the back of it.
as:當..的時候
get away：逃脫
get away with：逃脫懲罰

6、The thieves' car was badly damaged and easy to recognize.
badly:非常地，極度地（程度adv.）

-> He is finding his new work far more exciting.（find+n.+a. 覺得...）
