A: Do you think people still have faith in the government?

你認爲民衆還會信任這屆政府嗎？

B: I don’t think so.

我看不會了。

A: Why is that?

爲什麼會這樣呢？

B: The government will never fulfill their promise.

政府從未履行它的承諾。

A: So it is no wonder people cannot keep faith with it.

所以人們無法再相信政府也沒什麼大驚小怪的。

地道表達：have faith in

解詞釋義：此語義是指對某人或某事有信心，相當於trust, believe in。與其意思相反的詞語有lose faith in（喪失信心，不予信任）。

拓展講解：與faith相關的一個短語還有break faith with，意思是“背信，放棄信仰”，其反義詞是keep faith with，意思是“拒不背棄”。
