之前BBC在報道《人民的名義》的時候，是這麼形容祁同偉的▼
The crafty（狡猾的） and calculating（精明的） public security chief（公安局長） and villain（反派） of the show, played by veteran actor（老戲骨） Xu Yajun. He appears decent but turns out to be a sycophant（ 阿諛奉承者）, always thinking about his next move to advance his political career.

這裏的veteran actor就有老戲骨的意思。
veteran可以作名詞，表示“經驗豐富的人，老手”。

veteran也有形容詞的意思，表示“資深的，經驗豐富的”。
