1. prediction

常見表達是“making a prediction”，可以用gloomy表示不樂觀的預測結果。

Please don't ask me to make any predictions about tomorrow's meeting.

請不要讓我對明天的會議進行預測。

2. forecast

forecast和prediction的意思基本一樣，但是前者通常用來表示對特定形勢或天氣的預測。

economic forecasts

經濟預測

The weather forecast said it was going to rain later today.

天氣預報說今天晚些時候有雨。

3. outlook

outlook表示“前景；展望”，可以用bleak表示不好的前景。

The outlook for the economy is bleak.

經濟前景暗淡。

5. second-guess

猜測；預言

She's always trying to second-guess the boss.

Davis is being tipped to win the championship.
