INSTRUCTIONS FOR FREEDOM
追求自由指南1. Life's metaphors are God's instructions.
一、人生的隱喻是神的指示。2. You have just climbed up and above the roof. There is nothing between you and the Infinite. Now, let go.
二、你剛剛爬上屋頂。你和無極之間別無他物。現在，放手吧。
3. The day is ending. It's time for something that was beautiful to turn into something else that is beautiful. Now, let go.
三、這天即將結束。讓美好的事物轉變成另一種美好的事物。現在，放手吧。4. Your wish for resolution was a prayer. Your being here is God's response. Let go, and watch the stars come out—on the outside and on the inside.
四、你所盼望的決心是一種祈禱。你光臨此地，是神的迴應。放手吧，看繁星出現——無論內外。5. With all your heart, ask for grace, and let go.
五、誠心誠意懇求神賜恩典，放手吧。6. With all your heart, forgive him, FORGIVE YOURSELF, and let him go.

七、讓你的意願免於無謂的痛苦。然後，放手吧。8. Watch the heat of day pass into the cool night. Let go.
八、看着酷熱的一天走入涼爽的夜晚。放手吧。9. When the karma of a relationship is done, only love remains. It's safe. Let go.
九、一個關係的命運結束之時，唯有愛留存下來。平安無事了。放手吧。10. When the past has passed from you at last, let go. Then climb down and begin the rest of your life. With great joy.
十、往事終於離開你的時候，放手吧。爬下樓梯，開始過以後的日子。高高興興地過。For the first few minutes, I couldn't stop laughing. I could see over the whole valley, over the umbrella of the mango trees, and the wind was blowing my hair around like a flag. I watched the sun go down, and then I lay down on my back and watched the stars come out. I sang a small little prayer in Sanskrit, and repeated it every time I saw a new star emerge in the darkening sky, almost like I was calling forth the stars, but then they started popping out too fast and I couldn't keep up with them. Soon the whole sky was a glitzy show of stars. The only thing between me and God was . . . nothing.
頭幾分鐘，我笑個不停。我看見整個山谷，整片芒果樹林，風吹着我的頭髮有如旗子飛揚。我看着太陽下山，而後躺下來，看星星出來。我唱這一小段梵語禱詞，每次看見另一顆星星在昏暗的天際冒出來，就再唱一遍，宛若把星星喚出來。不過後來星星冒出來的速度太快，使我趕不上。不久，整個天際繁星閃閃。我和神之間毫無障礙。Then I shut my eyes and I said, "Dear Lord, please show me everything I need to understand about forgiveness and surrender."
而後我閉上眼睛，說：“親愛的主啊，請讓我瞭解有關寬恕與屈從的一切。”
