這邊作者先介紹了一下自己的情況，也就是"left-handed"，這裏和選項A比較相近，但是此時並沒有讀出題幹來，因此我們完全可以排除 A這個答案(根據我們上面提到的順序原則)。接下來，作者提到了"Peter Matthews"這個人，並且提到了music，也就是和B很相近，此時他的態度是"almost put me off"，這個和題幹中的"of value"矛盾，也就是這個也不是答案。此時我們已經可以很順利的選到正確答案C了。——將錯誤的信息全部排除，剩下的就一定是正確的答案。

當然此題可以通過同義詞互換做出來，也就是這邊標註了答案的地方:"sheer volume"和C選項中的"impressive size"是類似的意思。但是很多同學會發現，這個詞比較難聽懂。也就無法很快的找到答案了。

這道題最大的難度不是聽出"fished out 30% more ants"是和A選項的"more successful"是同義詞互換，而是很多同學會將前面的"right- and left-handedness is about equal"誤認爲就是B選項的"same proportion of left- and right-handers"，而導致選錯答案。也就是我們上面剛剛提到的需要排除錯誤選項即干擾信息。這就是我們所說的做選擇題的另外一個思路——剔。
