despite的用法
prep.不管;儘管(自己)不願意;不在乎;雖有 n.侮辱;憎恨;怨恨;輕蔑的拒絕或不承認
espite用作介詞時,與 in spite of同義,都表示“儘管”、“雖然”、“不顧”之意
放在句首時,要接成分,成分也就是句子的組成部分,由詞或詞組充當。 如:
Despite the drought,we expect a good crop. 儘管天旱,豐收依然在望。
