I believe that God sent him at that moment of sadness to remind me just howmuch he loved me. There is nothing more important than knowing we are we are loved, we will learn to love others. Learning to love helps us tounderstand ourselves and other people better.

I am a good mother to three children. I have tried never to let myprofession stand in the way of being a good parent.

And what I learned from it iswhat,today,seems to be the hardest lesson of all.

I learned to love the journey,not the destination. I learned to look at allthe good in the world and tried to give some of it back because I believed init,completely and totally. And I tried to do that,in part,by telling others whatI had learned.

Mom’s birthday present? It may be a difficult thing for some people, butfor me, it is an easy thing. Mom loved flowers, so every year I sent herflowers. Actually she had a bed of irises (鳶尾花) in the backyard of her small,Indiana farm. They were beautiful. “Take some,” she said, “Dig some up and plantthem on the side of your own house.”
