職場口語:如何用英語提出建議

在日常對話中，向對方提出建議和忠告有這些較常用的說法：

should 應該，要

"You should try to practise English."

"You shouldn't eat too much.

"Why don't you 不如... "Why don't you join an English club?"

ought to應該

"You ought to read more."

I'd 如果我是你，我就...

"If I were you, I'd watch more television."

suggest and recommend提議與推薦用動詞分詞

"I suggest visiting the Eiffel Tower." (連自己在內全部人都去)

或用從句 "I suggest that you visit the Eiffel Tower." (你們大家去我不去，只是提議)

或用名詞 "I recommend the lobster." (這家餐廳龍蝦做得好)

advise 建議(動詞)

"I advise you to buy a good dictionary."

advice 建議(不可數名詞) 所以要用 some advice 或 a piece of advice.

"Let me give you some advice." "She gave me a very useful piece of advice: to buy a good dictionary."

很多人不喜歡不請自來的建議和意見，所以爲了避免表錯情給人以多事的印象，你可以用以下說法：

"You could always..." 你其實可以...

"Have you considered..." 你考慮過...

"Perhaps we could..." 也許我們可以...

"Do you think it's a good idea to..." 你覺得...好不好呢？
