說起這個上廁所的英文表達，我就想起中學時代聽到的那個笑話，大致內容是說一外國人要上廁所，就跟一中國人說我：“I want to go somewhere.”。那個中國人不懂這句話的深層含義，以爲外國人是要去某個地方，就跟外國人說：“You can go anywhere.”在外國人聽來，就說要他隨地大小便了。說完笑話，讓我們進入今天的正題。“我想要上廁所”除了用“I want to go somewhere”之外，還可以怎麼說呢？下面，我們一起來看看。
委婉型：
I have to powder my nose. （僅限於女同胞使用，願意是說去補妝，其實就是要去上廁所）
I would like to go to the powder room. （powder room有化妝室的意思，也有女洗手間的意思）
I need to wash my hand.
I want to go to the restroom. （各位童鞋可不要望文生義哦。restroom是洗手間的意思而不是休息室的意思）
