點滴英語天天學第64期:戀之語(拓展語彙9)

從古至今，戀愛有3個階段。第一階段是“尋求戀情”，第二階段是“戀情帶來的興奮和激動”，第三階段是“戀情的終止”。既然戀愛是我們生活中的一個重要部分，當然有很多表示關於愛情的俚語。下面，我們就繼續來學習它們。

1. trophy wife

解析：Trophy wife is an attractive woman who is married to a usually much older, affluent man. 它是指：有身份的年長的男子用以炫耀自己的社會和經濟地位的漂亮而時髦的妻子，而兩人之間無感情可言。

例句：Ann is just trophy wife. It's a loveless marriage. He gets the beautiful woman and she get the rich husband. （Ann只是丈夫的擺設。他們的婚姻沒有愛情。他得到的是漂亮的妻子，她得到的則是有錢的丈夫。）

2. sis

解析：Sis是sister的縮寫，是“姐姐”的意思。但是也經常用來指“女性朋友”。

例句：Hey, sis! Mom wants you to drive her to the market. （嗨，姐！媽媽叫你開車帶她去市場去。）

They supported their sisters in the dispute. （她們在辯論中支持她們的姐妹。）

3. spoon

解析：Spoon指兩人同時（朝着同一方向）曲腿側臥。

例句：I love being the one in front when we spoon. I love being held all night. （我倆側身躺下時，我喜歡躺在前邊。我喜歡整夜被抱在懷裏。）

4. preemie

解析：Preemie是指“早產兒”。

例句：I was a preemie. I was born six weeks early. （我是一個早產兒，提前六週出生。）

4. G.F.

解析：G.F.是girlfriend的縮寫，表示“女朋友”。表示同樣意思的俚語還有：my woman.

例句：Carl thins his new G.F. is the most beautiful girl in the world. （Carl認爲她的信任女友是世界上最美的姑娘。）
