1. give it a shot
釋義:To try something. (嘗試着做某事)
例句:A: Do you want to try driving my car to see how you like it?
你要不要試試開我的車,看看這車如何?
B: Yeah, sure, I'll give it a shot.
當然想啦,我來試試。
I don't usually like hot tea, but it's so cold out that I gave it a shot today.

In his latest book, he tries his hand at fiction.
