It is very important to choose a right career. A right choice usually leads to success and happiness, while a wrong one often brings about failure and disappointment. Therefore, we must get ourselves well prepared so that a right choice can be made when needed.
If I am to choose a career, my principles are as follows. First of all, it should be a real service to my fellowmen and not merely enable me to earn a living. Seondly, it should offer scope for creativity and imagination because I want to live a rich or meaningful life. Finally, it should provide me with opportunities and challenges, engaging my in terest and allowing me to develop my abilities.
There are many professions for me to choose from: teaching, newspaper work, research on social science and so on. Among them, the work of a reporter may suit me most, because it is an exciting job and is full of challenges.
大學英語優秀作文評析：Hope Never DiesI'm not prepared to write a discourse on the nature of hope.I just long to say something about a movie, which is known as Shawshank Redemption.
The moral of this well received movie is distinctively and excellently embodied in the characters vividly depicted. I'd like to put two of them forward Brooks and Andy, who stick to different beliefs about hope as representatives.
Brooks, a victim of forty year prison life in Shawshank National Prison, is "formatted" by the tough disciplines. Getting up, having breakfast, working, having lunch, working again,having supper, going to bed and preparing for the day coming,these dull but orderly things form his everyday life. Hope, to some extent, is something of a beautiful illusion. Once hope, the approval of his request on parole, descend on, he is hopelessly at a loss. He is just afraid of the world outside, which is never taken account into his mind. Dead is he eventually, sadly by suicide. Compared to Brooks, Andy, who vows to leave Shawshank the moment he enter it, is inspiringly optimistic. Keeping a good
relationship with other prisoners, assisting Norton the ruler of Shawshank in cleaning his black money, all these things he has done are for escaping from Shawshank in the future. And there is hope in his heart. Somebody tells him:"Hope is a dangerous thing; hope can drive a man insane." "Hope is good things,maybe the best of things; and no good things ever die," replies Andy. The words quickly becoming famous accompany the hard time when he is digging the seeming indestructible wall as well as the tough course during which he crawls with great difficulties through the rotten sewer whose length equals to five football square. He is irresistibly successful. Every time I watch this scene, I couldn't help my tears running. It's the power of hope,which never dies.

大學英語優秀作文評析：A Fascinating SceneryI have never seen such a beautiful street, a track to be exact. Nobody will forget it once he rests his eyes on the absorbing scenery. The track is long and straight. A great many trees stand in line on either side of the track. They are so high, big and exuberant that the track is almost separated from the outside. Hence, when walking along it, you will feel as if you were in a corridor which is formed by trees. No one can understand the great nature until he is intoxicated by the perfect landscape especially in autumn and winter.
At sunset in autumn, the track has become a golden es are fluttering in the air with the wind just like the danclng butterflies. More have covered the ground, giving the track a thick yellow blanket. The trees have turned brown. They look so impressive, because here brown is the only color besides golden. So golden leaves, a golden track and golden sunshine dress up the world in a splendid gown.
At dawn in winter, however, a silver world appears before us. Now everything is white. Instead of the flying leaves, the white snow ornaments the world with its wonderful perform antes and the ground has changed its coat. And even the sunshine turns silver. Without leaves, the trees make friends with snow and prepare themselves for the Christmas. Silver snow, a silver track, silver trees and silver sunshine, the silver world also has its charm.
