During the summer vacation, I think I should do something interesting and meaningful rather than touring. So I found a job at a fast food restaurant and worked there as a cleaner. I worked eight hours a day for three weeks. This job was boring and seemed endless, which made me so tired that I nearly stopped it half way. But, I stuck to it with determination. Every day I started to work early in the morning and got home late in the evening. Finally, I finished the job before the new school term. Now, I realize what labor means. I think it is really a successful experience, which is worth remembering forever.
暑假期間，我覺得我應該做些有趣且有意義的事而不是旅遊。因此我找了一份工作，在一家快餐店當清潔工。三個星期以來，我每天工作8個小時。這份工作很無聊而且似乎無止盡，這使我感到疲憊，幾乎半途而廢。但是，我憑着決心堅持下來了。每天我早早開始幹活，晚上很晚纔回到家。最後，我在開學之前完成了工作。現在，我意識到勞動的意義。我認爲這真的是一次成功的經歷，值得我永遠銘記。

During the holiday, my parents and I went back to my hometown in the countryside in Hebei Province. I had not come back for several years, so that I was so surprised to find that great changes had taken place in this small village in the past years. Almost every family in the village had color TV set and some of them had computers. Many families had their houses newly built or rebuilt. Previously,could be seen everywhere, but now they have taken on an entirely newlook. Motorcycles or even private cars are not luxuries any more.
寒假期間，因爲春節和其他原因我很開心。假期期間，我父母和我回到河北的鄉下老家。我已經好幾年沒回去了，所以看到過去這些年這座小村莊發生的巨大變化我感到很驚訝。幾乎村裏的每一戶人家都有彩電，有的還有了電腦。很多家庭都有了新建的或重建的房子。以前，老式瓦房隨處可見，但是現在它們看上去完全是一幅新的景象。摩托車或者甚至是私家車也已不再是奢侈品了。
One of the villagers proudly told me that he and some other villagers were going to join a tour and travel abroad. Previously, the villagers were busy in their farm work all the year round, but now they have much more time and money to relax or entertain. Traveling has become a new trend among villagers. Seeing these amazing changes, my father said that he would go back to my hometown as soon as he retired. As for me, I strongly supported his idea.
一位村民驕傲地告訴我他和其他一些村民跟團出國旅遊了。以前，村民們一整年都忙於農活，但是現在它們有更多時間和錢去放鬆娛樂。旅遊已經成爲在村民當中已經成爲一種新潮流了。看到這些驚人的變化，我爸爸說他一退休就想回到家鄉。而我也強烈支持他的觀點。

It was so alive that my grand parents were very happy. This year, I made a surprise for my grand father. I cooked a dish for him. As I never cooked before, he was so surprised as well as exciting. My grand father said that it was the best birthday gift he received. I was glad to make grand father happy. Actually, I had practiced for several days before that day. My mum was my cooking teacher. She supported me to prepare this gift to grand father.
7月2號是我爺爺的生日。那一天，全家人聚在一起給他慶祝生日。今年也一樣。我的叔叔和嬸嬸從其他城市回來。生日很熱鬧，我爺爺很高興。今年，我給爺爺製造了一個驚喜。我給他做了一道菜。因爲我以前從來沒煮過，他既驚訝又高興。我爺爺說這是他收到過的最好的生日禮物。能使爺爺開心我感到很高興。事實上，在那天之前我已經練習了好幾天了。我媽媽是個烹飪老師。她支持我給爺爺準備這份禮物。
