閱讀經典的重要性 The Importance of Reading Classics

Thereis no denying that people can get a lot benefits from reading classics. On theone hand, it is a good way for readers to broaden their horizon and increasetheir knowledge in many aspects. For instance, they can learn the societycharacters by reading classic literature novels about history or culture. Onthe other hand, it also provides a chance for them to enhance their aesthetictaste in that most of classics has a very beautiful or unique language styleand arts, which gives readers more enjoyment and interest.

不可否認的是人們從閱讀經典中可以獲益匪淺。另一方面，閱讀經典也是讓讀者開闊視野、多方面增加知識的好方式。例如，他們可以通過閱讀關於歷史和文化的文學經典小說來了解社會人物。另一方面，閱讀經典還爲他們提供增強審美觀的機會，因爲大部分的經典都有着美麗而獨特的語言風格和藝術，這可以給讀者更多的享受和興趣。

However,nowadays a large number of people, especially the young, are unwilling to or cannotspend their times in reading classics. There are some reasons accounting forthe phenomenon and I would like to state two of them. For one thing, people aredistracted by other things increasingly, which can give their more joy and funand have no requirement in thinking, such as all kinds of entertainmentactivities. For another, some people think that it is no use of readingclassics because these classics are outdated and useless to our society andlives.

然而，如今許多人，尤其是年輕人，不願意或不能花時間去閱讀經典。對於這一現象有很多原因，這裏我只想列出兩點。一方面，越來越多的人被由其他的東西分散了注意力，它們可以給他們更多的樂趣也不用思考，如各種娛樂活動。另一方面，有些人認爲閱讀經典是沒有用的，因爲這些經典著作在我們的社會和生活中已經過時了而且也沒有用。

Inmy opinion, it is wrong to consider classics as an outdated matter because itstill has many important functions and influence on our society and our sics are a kind of treasure in a nation. Therefore, we should give enoughattention to them. And I advocate that all of us should try our best to readsome of them.

在我看來，把經典著作看作是過時的東西是錯誤的，因爲它在我們的社會和生活中仍然有重要的作用和影響。經典是一個國家的一種財富。因此，我們應該給予足夠的重視。我認爲我們都應該儘量去讀一些書。
