健康生活:想長壽?讓自己變得快樂起來

Researchers found "clear and compelling evidence" that happiness paves the way to better health and longer lifespans.
研究人員通過實驗得出一個簡潔但極具說服力的證據,那就是快樂有助於健康,讓人更長壽。

Scientists from the University of Illinois found positive moods reduced stress-related hormones and increased immune function.
來自伊利諾伊大學的科學家發現,樂觀情緒有助於減少應壓激素分泌,增強免疫能力。

It also concluded that anxiety, depression, and pessimism were linked to higher rates of disease and a shorter lifespan. People who felt intense anger or lived in stressful environments were more likely to be sick more often and died earlier.
另外,研究還總結出,焦慮、沮喪和悲觀情緒和疾病發生機率聯繫緊密,減少人們壽命。易怒人羣和生活在有壓力大的環境中的人們更容易生病,壽命要比一般人短一些。

"The general conclusion from each type of study is that your subjective wellbeing, that is, feeling positive about your life, not stressed out, not depressed, contributes to both longevity and better health among healthy populations," said Prof Ed Diener, who lead the study.
此項研究發起者、艾德•迪納瑞教授表示:“各項研究得到的總論是人們的主觀幸福感,即對生活持有樂觀態度、沒有壓力感和沮喪感,讓人們的壽命延長、更健康。”

"Happiness is no magic bullet, but the evidence is clear and compelling that it changes your odds of getting disease or dying young," he added.
