外媒稱因工作量過大 英國皇室御廚集體辭職

Britain's Queen Elizabeth II has been hit by a walkout of at least 14 cooks and kitchen staff over their workload.

近日，英國女王伊麗莎白二世由於至少14位廚師及廚工因工作量問題集體離職，而遭受打擊。

Chefs, porters and others are unhappy at having to work at several royal residences for no extra cash.

廚師、勤雜工及其他職員因不得不在多個皇室居所工作，卻得不到加班費而感到不滿。

A royal source revealed that the place is in turmoil and the mood is getting steadily worse.

據一位皇室知情人士透露，廚房目前一片混亂，氣氛也變得越來越差。

"Because the Queen now lives at Windsor Castle most of the time, chefs often have to go there, then back to Buckingham Palace for functions," according to the source.

該知情人士稱：“由於現在女王大多數時間住在溫莎城堡中，廚師須常到那裏去，然後返回白金漢宮爲大型宴會服務。”

Prince Charles uses the staff to throw events. Chefs are also asked to help out at Kensington Palace for William, Kate and Harry, plus dinners at St James's Palace.

查爾斯王儲舉辦活動要使喚這些人。皇室還讓廚師前往肯辛頓宮幫助威廉、凱特和哈里，外加準備聖詹姆斯宮的晚餐。

"People work all hours for no extra pay. Nobody gets any time off or sees their families. It's too much," the source said.

At least seven chefs have quit, plus other members of staff. Some are very experienced and won't be easy to replace.

至少已有7位廚師外加其他職員辭職。其中有些人經驗豐富，很難找到替代他們的人選。

However, a Buckingham Palace spokeswoman denied the mass walkout. She said there's been no change to the turnover of royal kitchen staff.

不過白金漢宮一名女發言人對這起大規模離職事件予以否認。她表示，皇室廚工的人員流動率未出現變動。
