加拿大遣返攜帶未成年人色情信息的中國遊客

The Embassy of China in Canada confirmed in a statement on its official website Monday that Chinese citizens have been deported for having pornographic pictures or videos of children on their cellphones or laptops.

中國駐加拿大使館週一在其官方網站發表聲明表示,近日有中國公民在入境加拿大時,因個人手機或筆記本電腦上存有未成年人色情圖片或視頻而被遣返回國。

An official account "iask-ca" on the WeChat social network, claimed Sunday that two Chinese students who were separately trying to enter the country were recently deported by Canadian customs for having child pornography on their mobile phones.

一個名爲“iask CA”的微信官方公衆號聲稱,週日兩個試圖進入加拿大的中國學生被海關驅逐出境,因爲在他們的手機上發現了未成年人色情信息。

According to iask-ca, Canadian customs found obscene content in the two students' WeChat, a messaging app.

根據iask-ca表示,加拿大海關發現這兩位學生的社交APP微信上有淫穢內容。

Meanwhile, the Chinese embassy statement did not specifically confirm the truth of these two cases. The embassy warned Chinese citizens who plan to come to Canada to delete sensitive or illegal content on their phones, computers or hard disks before traveling.

同時,中國大使館的聲明並未明確確認這兩起案件的真相。大使館提醒那些打算到加拿大旅行的中國公民,在來之前要刪除他們的手機、電腦或硬盤上的敏感或非法內容。

According to Canadian laws, persons who make, possess, distribute, or access child pornography can be sentenced to a jail term of between six months and 14 years.

加拿大法律規定,凡製作、持有、傳播或瀏覽涉及未成年人色情信息的人員,將被判處6個月至14年的監禁。

While many on Chinese social media questioned whether Customs officials violated passengers' privacy by going through their phones, but according to Canada Border Services Agency's code of conduct, Customs officers have the right to search passengers' electronic devices.

國內社交媒體上許多網友質疑加拿大海關人員查看乘客手機是否侵犯隱私,但依照加拿大邊境服務局行爲規範,海關人員有權搜查乘客的電子設備。
